Overcome Anxiety and Fear.
Many of us who suffer in silence are failing to make the choice to go forward we are failing to even think about how to overcome anxiety, we can not overcome anything or deal with anything if we cannot begin by overcoming our own inaction.
We procrastinate about what to do and we tell ourselves it’s because we are stressed out or depressed and we go deeper into a state of inaction and pending anxiety attack.
No one can change the choices they don’t make, but we can all change the choices we do make, yes sometimes we will get it wrong and need to change our choice, but only if we make a decision will we be able to deal with it and progress.
We have all heard the saying about whether your glass is half full or half empty, and there are many other examples of how we look at life positively or negatively.
Often we allow negativity to make our choice and sometimes that is to do nothing when we really need to re-evaluate our position and make another choice one to ensure we are overcoming and continue to progress. Life is all about steps one step leads to another each step is a choice.
The fear of failure is a massive blot on our lives and is not how to overcome anxiety, it stops us making forward steps and in fact it will only lead to depression stress and potentially anxiety attacks.
Failure is often measured in unrealistic ways, an example is being told that no one remembers who comes second, yes there is some truth in this but is second really failure. Do we give in or do we try again? Do we accept that second in many ways, is a tremendous accomplishment and move forward know we did well and we did our best?
Many studies have shown that being more positive and optimistic will not only increase your motivation it will also increase your well being and help you to live longer and overcome anxiety without medication.
We all know that negativity will result in depression and stress and increased anxiety all of which can lead to attacks.
We are all in the same world living our lives as best we can, so what makes one an optimist with a healthy positive outlook and another a pessimist? Perhaps its genetic, perhaps it’s learned we really need more data and more studies to figure this out.
However we don’t need anything to figure out that how to overcome anxiety and fear is not by being negative and unable to make our choices.
We can do this by looking at the behavior of optimists and trying to mimic that behavior rather than being all negative.
Optimists will try and take the positive from each experience and where it has not been 100% successful look at how they can improve this.
They will see the problem and think of solutions and make the choice required to try again and continue to be proactive making choice and moving forward. Even if it is only moving by inches they will keep moving forward.
We think we are unable to overcome social anxiety and we are therefore unable to do anything, this is not true, overcome anxiety is something we must do, we must make choices and only by making the positive choice to move forward to try all we can and be positive will we overcome anxiety.
All of us can make the choice to be more positive all of us can make the choices we need to move forward, we know it will not be easy and it will require support and it may require some help but making the choices to seek help and support is a start, this how we begin to overcome anxiety and take those steps forward to a new fuller life.
