Sometimes beating anxiety seems too difficult,it just seems a fact of life that when we are down everything seems to get worse and worse. Losing teams are always suffering from bad luck and it seems no matter what they do they cannot seem to get a break.
It’s the same with beating anxiety and depression, no matter how hard we try it just seems to get worse and we need to somehow break this circle of downward despair and ensure we are beating anxiety.
It is no surprise that those many millions who suffer from anxiety will also have some issues with confidence and self esteem.
Like everything else we need to work at dealing with this, we need to understand that it will take time and effort that it may not happen overnight but we need to keep working away until we get the outcomes we desire and deserve.
Below I will list some suggestions which may help to break the cycle, when it is broken others may notice it before you, they will see a more positive and upbeat you, so make sure you consult your partner and closest family and friends so they can help you to understand when you are making progress, anxiety counseling of this nature will help so much in beating anxiety.
First thing we need to do is to recognize those situation and occasions when we are most anxious and if possible what causes them, for example if we always have anxiety attacks at night.
This may not always be as easy as it sounds as often anxiety builds up and the root causes are not as clear as we would like. then we find we are dealing with attacks before we know it.
Beating Anxiety with Exercise.
However to begin dealing with this we can note when we are overly anxious and what the causes were, and then try one or two things, breathing slowly in a darkened room with everything blocked off and shut out often helps, some deal with it by going for a slow walk, just being on our own and thinking only about the good things in our life often help. Many have found that a good physical workout is great for beating anxiety with exercise.
If any of these help we should note it down and next time we feel anxious, whether we know the reason or not we should apply what works, breathing or walking.
We need to look at causes of anxiety. a lot of anxiety comes from having to do something very public, a presentation etc, perhaps it is new to us and we have real concerns about making a mess of it.
My solutions to beating anxiety is simple; firstly by ensuring we have practiced and planned the event to perfection we should understand that all will be well. Secondly I go on over to you tube and take a look at videos of Kings and Queens Presidents and Prime Ministers celebrities from all walks of life making very public gaffs, then I know it can happen to anyone and we just have to laugh and move on.
If you have been in counseling or ever read or attended a seminar on motivation from one of the big names in this industry you will know that affirmations are one of the tools they use. Simply put it is just a way of telling yourself that you can do something, when we link this to all our positive achievements instead of thinking about failures or problems it can be a very powerful tool and is one of the best ways of beating anxiety and depression naturally.
Every morning just say a few affirmations, I will have a good day, I will overcome all stress and anxiety and I can be the very best, Ok maybe not exactly this but I am sure you get the idea.
When dealing with anxiety attacks I think the most important thing is to take action, as I often quote Peter Nivio Zarlenga who says “action conquers fear” spend less time dwelling on all the reason why you can’t do something and more time taking action to ensure you achieve success and are therfore beating anxiety.
